Your instructors will provide a mix of informal lectures, hands-on paddling and rescue clinics, and active mentoring tailored to everyone’s level of experience. This is a prime opportunity to learn rescue techniques and review best practices in risk management, outdoor living, navigation, and much more. Most of the course is dedicated to hands-on practice, involving participants in all aspects of preparing and operating a safe and cohesive adventure.

Course prerequisites: How to Prepare for a Canoe Trekking

This How to Prepare for a Canoe Trekking workshop is open to anyone with some canoeing experience who wants to further develop their skills. Participation in our  Introduction to Canoeing course is required, and we recommend having also completed our Tandem or Solo Canoeing Beginners course.

Course location

The workshop How to Prepare for a Canoe Trekking starts at 10:00am on Saturday morning at Cugnon (B) and ends on Sunday at 4:00pm. We will be staying on site and camp next to the Semois River.
